As the summer has arrived, holidays (though limited) have also arrived. there are many camps, and workshops for children but very little to make them observe their environment, humans and animals around them.
Stories are many from infinite media channels but how many are sensitive to the child's mind? Very few which make you to look inwards. Children are filled with stories of infinite things they see, observe and hear. isn't it also important to make them and us to look inwards and conscious about what stories they (we) tell whether it is really connected to our immediate environment, people and life.
are we going to engage our children to keep them occupied, to learn new skill like a ritual? to make them repeat what they have already learnt? or are we going to allow our children to explore and find genuinely something for themselves though it won't produce anything tangible outside in the immediate future?
In every crowd there are children quiet, withdrawn, repulsive and uninterested, will the space and adults around them be mindful of those children and bring them also inside the circle not forcefully but with care and love. Do we have time for all these intricacies and little things when we follow a schedule and want to hurriedly exhibit the outcome of the workshop (i.e.) the result, the finale, that feeling of success that you have completed a marathon of that one-day event before the mind starting to plan for the next adrenalin pumping event i.e., more children, scheduling, arranging food, resource person etc, etc ...
