அகத் தீ   As the summer has arrived, holidays (though limited) have also arrived. there are many camps, and workshops for children but very little to make them observe their environment, humans and animals around them. Stories are many from infinite media channels but how many are sensitive to the child's mind? Very few which make you to look inwards. Children are filled with stories of infinite things they see, observe and hear. isn't it also important to make them and us to look inwards and conscious about what stories they (we) tell whether it is really connected to our immediate environment, people and life. are we going to engage our children to keep them occupied, to learn new skill like a ritual? to make them repeat what they have already learnt? or are we going to allow our children to explore and find genuinely something for themselves though it won't produce anything tangible outside in the immediate future? அகத் தீ   Visit to besant nagar beach to witness the turtle hatchling release: Yesterday evening a few of us went to besant nagar to watch the turtle hatchlings to be released in water. Before reaching that place all I wanted was to show something interesting to my kid. But now it's very different. I saw how we humans have touched and spoiled the life of every living being on the earth. How dangerous we are and we are making everything endangered. How every beauty of nature is commercialized and consumed. The mother turtle lays eggs and returns back to the sea in the hope that its beautiful little babies will join the sea in course of time. It hides the eggs from the vision of known predators. What it doesn't know is there are more monstrous predators on the coast, we humans who are capable of and willing to wipe them entirely. அகத் தீ   Meeting the Tiger Eye to Eye :- A couple of years ago one of our friends died of cardiac arrest, we felt really helpless because he was young and do not deserve to die at that age. He had a wife and a daughter and he was working in a big Tech company and a sole bread earner. This was his second attack. The first attack came after his daughter’s bharathanatyam arangtrem. Before the big event (as he’d like to call it) he was so excited to get the arangetram done in a style. He had spent nearly 6 months for its preparation. He has saved all his earnings (never even went for a vacation) for 5years to spent on this event. The event was organized in quite a big sabha in Alwarpet.
