அகத் தீ-   சிறார்களம் "மாமா ஒரு உதவி " " சொல்லுமா வர்ஷா என்னடா வேண்டும்" " நானும் அச்சுவும் ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சி திட்டமிட்டு இருக்கோம் அதை நடத்த உங்க வீடு வேண்டும்" "உங்களுக்கு இல்லாததா எடுத்துக்கோ டா" யோசித்து சொல்வதற்கு கூட நேரம் எடுக்காமல் என்னையும் அறியாமல் சம்மதித்துவிட்டேன். அன்று நாங்கள் ஊரில் இருக்க மாட்டோம் என்பது பிறகு தான் நினைவுக்கு வந்தது. அவர்களே சிந்தித்து நிகழ்ச்சி நிரலை திட்டமிட்டு, பங்கெடுக்கும் குழந்தைகளை உறுதிபடுத்தி, நிகழ்வு அன்று நினைவு படுத்தி, சிறப்பாக நடத்தி உள்ளனர். இப்படி சுயமாக செயல்பட கூடிய ஆற்றலை அவர்கள் பெறவே வேண்டினோம். நாங்கள் செய்வதை பார்த்து கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள் இப்போது அதை அவர்களே 11 வயதில் செய்ய முன்வருவது என்பது நாங்கள் கூட்டாக செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் செயலுக்கு ஒரு நிறைவையும், நம்பிக்கையையும் கொடுக்கிறது. வர்ஷாவும் அச்சுவும் பள்ளி கல்வியிலிருந்து விடுபட்டவர்கள் என்பது குறிப்பிடதக்கது. அவர்கள் விருப்பப்படும் போது பள்ளி கல்வி பெறுவதற்கான வாய்ப்புகளை ஏற்படுத்த திறந்த பார்வையோடு இவர்கள் பெற்றோர்கள் இதை அணுகுகின்றனர். ...

On Feb 5th my son turned 9 .I wanted to celebrate his birthday in a more meaningful way by spending quality time with people I felt a sense of belonging.We no longer enjoyed mindless celebrations which involved hyper-consumerism, doing something for the sake of the peer pressure and to show off one's status in the society. I will talk about how we moved towards mindful and conscious celebrations in another post. Having done celebrations at home all these years with family and neighbours, i wanted to celebrate my child's special day with a closer circle of people. More than calling it a celebration, we wanted to have a get together and spend quality time with our group of friends from Agaththi. Now, it's time to write about my journey with Agaththi and how i got introduced to this community , the people I met here , the learnings from here that influenced our way of living.
