“I found Agathiee during my final year of college...
through a cycle tour around Tamil Nadu.”
That one ride changed everything.
It wasn’t just a cycle tour. It was a discovery—a
meeting of minds in Rameshwaram where he saw the Agathiee team in action for
the very first time. From there, his journey began.
“The cycle tour led by Bharathi Kannan Anna changed my
life.”
While seed ball making and sandhai (organic markets)
were inspiring, it was the cycle tour that sparked something deeper—a sense of
direction, connection, and cause.
From then on, whenever he came to Chennai, he stayed
at the Agathiee base, soaking in the energy, working alongside members, and
immersing himself in social change.
“Before Agathiee, my idea of politics came from
movies. It was narrow. But after joining, it expanded.”
For him, Agathiee broadened politics beyond voting or
headlines. It became about everyday life—how we live, how we act, how we lead.
The experience taught him that politics isn’t something far away. It’s right
here, and it’s ours to shape.
“One way I discovered myself… was through Agathiee.”
When asked about role models, his answer was clear and
humble:
“Everyone in Agathiee inspired me. Each one followed
their passion beyond their jobs—that was powerful.”
Agathiee, to him, wasn’t just a team. It was a
collective of inspirations—people building better communities from different
walks of life.
His roots in sustainability run deep.
“I come from a farming family. Nature was always part
of me.”
But Agathiee taught him that sustainability isn’t just
about planting trees—it’s about protecting them too.
Today, he’s living that mission. From a small village
in Tiruppur district, he and his family have been practicing organic farming
for over five years. But that’s not all.
He also conducts political workshops in schools and colleges, sowing seeds of awareness wherever he goes.
Message to the younger generations
“Politics is not separate from life. If we ignore it,
we’re handing our lives over to others. We must take it into our own hands.”
This is his truth. His story. His movement—from the
cycle path to the path of purpose.
