இந்த வருடம் ஒரு பொன்னான வருடம் என்றே கூற வேண்டும். ஜல்லிக்கட்டு தொடங்கி விவசாயிகள் போராட்டம் , நீட் தேர்வு போன்ற எண்ணற்ற பிரச்சனைகளுக்கு இளைஞர்கள்கள் ஆகிய நாம் குரல் கொடுத்துள்ளோம். விவசாயிகளின் துயரம் இன்னும் தீர்ந்த பாடில்லை. எங்களுடைய தோழர் பாண்டியன் அவர்கள் நம்மாழ்வார் அவர்களிடம் பயிற்சி பெற்று கடந்த 5 ஆண்டு காலமாக விழுப்புரம் மாவட்டத்தில் விவசாயம் செய்து வருகிறார். தற்சார்பு பொருளாதாரத்திற்கு எடுத்துக்காட்டாய் விளைந்த தானியம் மற்றும் காய்கறிகளை தங்கள் கிராமத்திலே விற்று வருகின்றார். கடந்த வ்ருட வரலாற்று மிக்க வறட்சியால் விவசாயம் செய்ய முடியாமல் மிகுந்த சிரமத்திற்கு உள்ளாக்க பட்டுள்ளார். அதன் விளைவாக மிகுந்த கடன் சுமைக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளார். நாங்கள் விவசாயிகளுக்காக உருவாக்கிய நம்மசந்தை முதல் மாதத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டு அவரின் கண்ணீரினால் வெளிப்படுத்தினார். அவருக்கு உடனடியாக 3 .5 லட்சம் ருபாய் கடனை அடைக்க தேவை படுகிறது. நண்பர்கள் ஆகிய நாங்கள் 60 ஆயிரம் ருபாய் ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளோம். மீதம் உள்ள பணத்தை crowdfunding மூலம் திரட்ட முயன்று வருகிறோம். நண்பர்களே உங்களால் இயன்ற பணத்தை கீழே பதியப்பட்டுள்ள வாங்கி கணக்கில் செலுத்துமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம். சிறு துளி பெரு வெள்ளம் என்பதை போல தாங்கள் பங்களிக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு ரூபாயும் பாண்டியன் அண்ணாவின் வாழ்க்கையில் மிக பெரிய மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்கும்.

It’s been a wonderful year as we youngsters had protested and raised for many social issues like Jallikattu,Farmer’s issue etc. The plight of the farmers are yet to be changed. Yes we do have a friend,brother,comrade. I don’t know what exact relationship I can term with him. His name is Pandyan.He was trained under renowned scientist Nammalvar and since then he has been doing organic farming in his farm for almost 5 years. He has been a role model in his village and he is a perfect example in terms of self sustainable economy as JC Kumarappa mentioned. He has been selling his farm products like vegetables, fruits etc in the village itself. Unfortunately, in the recent years due to historic drought, he is unable to do farming as he don’t have enough water to cultivate. He got flooded with debts. We had invited to bring his farm products to our first edition of farmers market(Nammasanthai) in Tambaram. He literally cried infront of the crowd and he was unable to control his tears. He needs 3.5 lakhs desperately to pay his debts. We ourselves have collected around 60 thousand and we are trying to raise the money via crowdfunding. Please contribute whichever amount you are willing to/can. Even your little contribution can turn his life upside down.
